There are a lot of human foods that can be dangerous, sometime even toxic to dogs.
Some of the commons food includes:
- Chocolate
- Grapes and raisins
- Onions and garlic
- Avocado
- Macadamia nuts
- Alcohol
- Caffeine
- Xylitol (an artificial sweetener found in some low sugar peanut butter, toothpaste, sugar-free gum and candies)
- Cooked bones (which can splinter and cause internal injuries)
- Fatty or spicy foods
- Chives
- Leeks
- Corn on the cobb
- Cooked bones
The best way to keep your dog safe is to keep these foods away from your dog’s reach and never intentionally feed them to your dog.
Seek immediate veterinary attention if you suspect that your dog has ingested any of these foods or is showing any of the following symptoms of poisoning
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Lethargy
- Difficulty breathing
